A step-by-step roadmap to the sacred journey.
Hajj Day 1 - 8th Zilhajj
The Day of Tarwiyah
- Assume **Ihram**.
- Pray five times a day (Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, Fajr) in Mina.
- Spend the night in Mina.
Hajj Day 2 - 9th Zilhajj
The Day of Arafah
- Stay (Waqoof) in Arafah from sunrise until sunset.
- Pray Dhuhr and Asr prayers together in Arafah.
- Proceed to Muzdalifah after sunset (without praying Maghrib in Arafah).
- Pray Maghrib and Isha prayers together (Qasr) in Muzdalifah.
- Collect pebbles (for Ramy) and spend the night in Muzdalifah.
Hajj Day 3 - 10th Zilhajj
The Day of Sacrifice (Yawm An-Nahr)
- Perform **Ramy (Stoning)** of the Big Jamarah (Shaytan) after Fajr prayer in Mina.
- Perform **Qurbani (Sacrifice)**.
- Perform **Halq or Taqsir (Shaving or trimming hair)**.
- Perform **Tawaf al-Ifadah** (must be completed before sunset on 12th Zilhajj).
- Spend the night in Mina after Tawaf.
Hajj Day 4 - 11th Zilhajj
The First Day of Tashreeq
- Perform **Ramy** (Stoning) of all three Jamarat (Small, Middle, and Big) with 7 pebbles each (total 21 pebbles).
- The time for stoning is from sunrise until sunset (preferred time is after midday (Zawal) until sunset).
- Spend the night in Mina.
Hajj Day 5 - 12th Zilhajj
The Second Day of Tashreeq
- Perform **Ramy** (Stoning) of all three Jamarat (Small, Middle, and Big) with 7 pebbles each (total 21 pebbles).
- **Departure from Mina:** Must leave Mina before sunset (If unable to leave, you must stay until the 13th Zilhajj and perform Ramy again).
Hajj Day 6 (Optional) - 13th Zilhajj
The Third Day of Tashreeq
- Perform **Ramy** of all three Jamarat with 7 pebbles each (total 21 pebbles).
- This Ramy is obligatory if the pilgrim could not leave Mina before sunset on the 12th Zilhajj.
- Leave Mina after completing the stoning.
- **Note:** The Hajj ends with the **Tawaf al-Wada (Farewell Tawaf)** upon leaving Makkah.
